Mandala & Divinity-In workshop June 2, 2007

On June 2, 2007 (Sturday) Mr. Toots Fungo -- bringing fresh energies from the successful recently concluded Symphony of Peace Prayers in Japan-- facilitated the Mandala and Divinity In workshop attended by 7 new-comers, plus two returning participants:

Mandala & Divinity In workshop May 5, 2007

On May 5, 2007 the Mandala and Divinity In workshop composed of returnees (except for the youngest participant which was his first time). We were five from the coregroup/ShinJin and the additionals were:

We did a bit of mandala writing and then focused more on the practice of the Ins.

Mandala & Divinity-In workshop April 15, 2007

Last April 15, 2007 a Mandala-writing/ meditation for Peace and Healing in the World was conducted by Mr. Mario "Toots" Fungo for 4 returning Mandala participants and 4 new participants who were brought in and invited by them.

Starting with video showing of the Symphony of Prayers events while waiting for the rest of participants to arrive, the workshop proceeded with the World Peace Prayer ceremony while small cards showing the flags of the different countries of the world were laid down on the tables.

Then after introductions, the new participants were oriented to the concept and instructions in writing the mandalas. The new participants were asked to write a "mandala for peace within the self" for beginners. The old participants were encouraged to write either a mandala for Harmony between Humanity and Nature, or a mandala for A World Free from Confrontation. (In this session the Divinity-In was not intended to be taught).

Ms. Tomoko from Byakko visits The Peacemakers' Circle

On February 27, 2007 (Tuesday) Byakko Shinko Kai representative from Japan, Ms. Tomoko Ukai, visited The Peacemakers' Circle Interfaith Dialogue Center and. along with Mr. Mario " Toots" Fungo, gave a talk about Byakko Shinko Kai & World Peace Prayer Society during their Tuesday Inner Work Circle Open Evening session. Peacemakers' Inner Work members from different faith tradiditons were glad to hear Ms. Tomoko's sharing on Byakko spirituality, her personal testimonies about Mandala-writing and the practice of Divinity In.
